India

India, with an accelerated economic growth emerges as one of the largest economies in the world. Nonetheless, it also has one of the largest poverty stricken populations in the world. Although the country’s health indicators have improved over the years it still faces challenges in the areas of increasing out of pocket expenditures, child nutrition and maternal and child health among other issues. India was covered in Equitap 1, and these results are being updated in Equitap 2.
