China

China with its ever-growing population has been able to improve its overall health outcomes remarkably over the past three decades. Conversely its catastrophic spending continues to drive people into further poverty, especially in the poorer regions. China participated in the Equitap’s initial round of data collection and provided data for Gansu and Heilongjiang Provinces. In the second phase of Equitap, new data will be provided for a third province.
